You may need insurance in order to rent a car, though some companies may try to sell insurance along with the Hire. If a customer refuses to purchase the insurance, then the car Hire company will still allow the customer to rent the car, as all car Hire companies are prohibited from refusing to rent a car if a customer does not purchase insurance.
